We are excited to host Prof. Denise Tang as Hunt-Simes Chair in Sexuality Studies in 2023. Prof. Tang is an interdisciplinary ethnographer in gender, lesbian sexualities, social spaces and cultural politics in Chinese societies, and author of Conditional Spaces: Hong Kong Lesbian Desires and Everyday Life (Hong Kong University Press, 2011). At Sydney University, Prof. Tang will be developing work with Dr Shawna Tang on trans masculinities and boyhoods as part of our Affirmative Feminist Boy Studies project.
